Nathan Aspinall’s first ever World Series event proved gold for the young ace who defeated former World Youth Champion, Michael Smith, by a score of 8-4 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on July 5th. Aspinall adds to his growing list of career wins with the Vegas World Series trophy and the $20,000 USD that comes with it!
The PDC’s North American World Series of Darts broke new ground with a record-breaking 190+ players battling in Las Vegas to fill just 8 qualifying spots over 2 days of grueling competition. In the end, it was a newcomer who prevailed as the favorites fell.
Florida, USA’s Daniel Baggish defeated reigning champion, Canada’s Jeff Smith, to win the PDC North American Championship at the Mandalay Bay. On July 4th, the day of his country’s birth, Baggish’s career was also born, overcoming his first time on the stage by taking out the most experienced of the North American qualifiers.
In addition to the $10,000 first place prize money, Baggish has fulfilled a lifelong dream by qualifying to compete on the Alexandria Palace stage for the PDC World Championship at the end of the year, representing USA. See the links below to retrace his path to glory.

The Professional Darts Corporation reported today a record number of entries for this year’s World Series of Darts qualifier in Las Vegas:
THERE will be a record entry of over 190 players for the 2019 US Darts Masters and North American Championship Qualifiers in Las Vegas next week.
The PDC’s World Series of Darts returns to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, with two days of qualifying on July 2-3 preceding the stage events on July 4-5.
Eight places are on offer in the stage events, with each winner of the four qualifying events being joined by the top four players from the Qualifiers Order of Merit.
A total of 191 players have entered across the four qualifying tournaments, with interest building year-on-year since the World Series of Darts first visited Las Vegas in 2017.
This year’s entrants are headlined by three-time World Champion John Part, 1994 World Matchplay winner Larry Butler, current PDC Tour Card Holder Dawson Murschell and reigning North American Darts Champion Jeff Smith.
Recent BetVictor World Cup of Darts representatives Jim Long (Canada), Darin Young and Chuck Puleo (both USA) will also be in action.
2008 UK Open finalist Gary Mawson is joined in the field by father-and-son duo Dan and Daniel Lauby, former World Championship qualifiers David Fatum, Ken MacNeil, Dan Olson, Ross Snook and Dave Richardson.
Chris White, Shawn Brenneman, Jim Widmayer and Roger Carter are other players with big-stage experience bidding to secure their spot.

The PDC’s annual World Series of Darts visit to Las Vegas is now less than two months away – have you made your entries yet for the US Darts Masters and North American Darts Championship Qualifiers?
Our events in Las Vegas will give all North American players the chance to step onto the global stage – both against top PDC stars in the US Darts Masters and also with the opportunity to win a William Hill World Championship place through the North American Darts Championship.

The eight places on offer in our stage events will be determined through the four qualifying events on July 2-3 at the Mandalay Bay Casino & Resort.
Each event’s winner will qualify for the US Darts Masters and North American Darts Championship, alongside the top four players from the Qualifiers’ Order of Merit.
