Understanding
“Board Groups”
Run ANY Elimination Bracket with Board Groups!
Running a successful, on-time dart competition is a difficult task that is often under-appreciated. Incorporate Board Groups into your knockout brackets and DartConnect will greatly reduce staff stress and effort, while improving the player experience.
“What is a Board Group?”
Player Benefits
- Using a standard knockout bracket, players are organized into groups for the initial rounds.
- Each group competes on the same board, avoiding the controversies associated with prior board assignments.
- Players are essentially competing in “mini-brackets”, within the overall bracket, until each group/board has a winner.
- Match play order is pre-determined (as illustrated), enabling players to monitor group progress to determine when they play.
- Successful players advance into the “finals portion” of the bracket, where boards are then manually assigned.
Pro Tip: Pre-assign boards to the finals portion of the bracket and never worry about assigning a board during a live competition again!
