2 Ways to Keep Your Players Engaged Online for FREE!

Following up on the success of the inaugural WDF Virtual Cup, the WDF has arranged for DartConnect to provide all member nations with two programs that enable our players to compete online while we wait for in-person competitions to resume. There is no cost to either the country or individual players.

WDF Challenge Weekends

The LAST weekend of every month January – April, the WDF, in conjunction with DartConnect will host a “Challenge Weekend” where players can openly challenge each other in the WDF Match Lobby. The player’s performance will be ranked in the DartConnect Leaderboard.

WDF Nation Tournaments

Each nation may run a monthly national online tournament from January through April 2021, inviting the nation’s players to compete. It is up to the individual nation to position this opportunity as they see fit. It can be just for fun, have a payout, or even act as a qualifier for upcoming events.

Participation

While there are no limits to the number of players that may participate, each nation retains the right to approve who represents their nation.

As always, live scoreboards, match reports, and player performance will be available on DCTV. Players are encouraged to use a webcam, but it is not a requirement. DC VideoConnect is available for every match, with compatible equipment.

DartConnect will send out a reminder to all registered players, each weekend.

Player Requirements

To participate, players must have a FREE DartConnect Guest Account and register in advance on the WDF registration page.

Download the DartConnect Scoring Application
Ensure you have reliable WIFI and equipment
Select Online Play & Private Lobby on the day of the event to play

If players would like to gain online lobby experience before the WDF Challenge Weekends, a DartConnect Premium Membership may be purchased allowing for immediate participation in the Global Match Lobby.

WDF Nation Tournaments

An Opportunity for Each WDF Member Nation to Run Its Own Online Tournament

Tournaments are intended for players of a single nation. If you are interested in running a multi-national competition, please contact DartConnect for details.

Nation Requirements:

At least 1 Authorized Representatives of each country must complete the free online training program – we recommend 2.
We recommend limiting tournaments to 64 entries until operators become comfortable with the program and participant requirements.
Tournament options include Round Robin (Group Play), Elimination (Knock Out), or Both.
Nations are allowed to run additional competitions each month, with standard DartConnect service fees.
Organizers and participants must have reliable WIFI and compatible equipment.

Required Tournament Organizer Steps:

Complete the Application for WDF Approval. See Form at the Bottom of this page.
Event organizers must sign up for a FREE DartConnect Guest Account
Upon activation, the organizers will then complete the Online Tournament training program (3 practice tournaments). Learn More about Digital Steel Certification
Upon completion, the nation will now be able to run an online competition, open to all nation players
Scheduling and promotion of these events is the responsibility of each nation

DartConnect will be available for technical support as needed.
