Know Your DartConnect Vocabulary
There is no such thing as “standard” darts terminology, and even experienced veterans confuse the words we use to describe a darts competition.
Below is a quick explanation of how DartConnect uses the following important darts vocabulary:
A MATCH is made up of SETS that contain LEGS of one or more GAME types. A leg consists of ROUNDS where each opponent has one TURN of up to 3 Darts.
“Opponents” are defined as the players competing during a given Set or Leg. If the player line up changes for either side, a new set begins. Opponents can be Singles, Doubles, Triples, Quads or Teams (5 or more players per side).

Introduction
Vocabulary:
Most leagues use the amount of league points achieved throughout the regular season to determine eligibility. The teams with the minimum rank as determined by the league, advance to post-season play.
Important: Teams marked as ineligible will be removed from post season groups and will not appear in the scoring applicaiton.
During the post-season, the league admin can mark the finish of each team and DartConnect TV will display each teams finish until a winner is identified. Admins have the option of designated a team’s finish according to their bracket placement, or simply marking them “eliminated”. The league portal has business rules in place to control the number of teams for each finish (i.e. only 4 teams can be marked as quarter finalist after that round has been completed).

Identifying Ineligible Teams
By default, all teams in all divisions are marked as eligible for post-season play. Utilize the search and filter functions to organize and identify teams according to division or post-season group. Eligible teams will have the red box checked and maintain a black typeface.
Ineligible teams are removed from the scoring application when checking for updates.
Eligibility Tool. If your league uses division rankings to determine post-season eligibility, DartConnect makes this end-of-season task effortless.
First, determine which teams you want to work with. You can work with all teams across the league, or by searching for a specific division or post-season group. Then use the Eligibility Tool to enter the minimum division ranking to identify teams that do not qualify, followed by the search command. You can now review the list of ineligible teams.
Marking ALL Ineligible Teams: When the Eligibility Field is populated, the “check mark” in the header transforms into a bright red “button”, enabling you to mark/unmark all teams that do not meet the criteria entered into the Eligibility Tool.
Should your league utilize different rankings for different divisions/groups, conduct this same process in two passes: First, select the minimum ranking required of ALL divisions, deselecting all of these teams with the check mark button. Then conduct subsequent passes, utilizing the division search to filter on each division that has a varying requirement to identify the incremental teams that do not advance.
Final Review: Utilize “Hide Ineligible Teams” in conjunction with sorting by the Post Season Group column to provide an overview of your eligible team list by each group.
Introduction
Vocabulary:
Most leagues require players to compete in a minimum number of matches during the regular season, to be eligible for post season play. DartConnect tracks match participation and posts the number of matches played. League admins can review and identify ineligible players utilizing this page.
Important: Identifying players as ineligible DOES NOT remove them from the team roster on the scoring application to avoid eligiblity mistakes that could prevent the match. However, ineligible players are identified in the post season section of DCTV and should they compete in a match, the match will be flagged in the activity report. *

By default, all players on all teams are marked as eligible for post-season play. Utilize the search and filter functions to organize and identify players by division or post-season group. Eligible players will have the red box checked and maintain a black typeface.
Ineligible players are NOT removed from the scoring application to ensure match play can occur in case of an eligibility mistake. However, ineligible players are marked in the post-season of DCTV and should they compete in a post-season match, it will be noted in the league portal activity report. *
Eligibility Tool. If your league requires players to compete in a minimum number of matches to participate in post-season play, utilize this tool to effortlessly identify ineligible players according to division, post-season group or across the entire league.
First, determine which post-season groups you want to work with by viewing all teams or by searching for a specific team, division or post-season group. Then use the Eligibility Tool to enter the minimum team ranking to identify all the players that do not qualify, followed by the search command. You can now review the list of ineligible players.
Marking ALL ineligible players: When the Eligibility Field is populated, the “check mark” in the header transforms into a bright red “button”, enabling you to mark/unmark all teams that do not meet the criteria entered into the Eligibility Tool.
Should your league have match play requirements that vary by division or post-season group, you can achieve the same results with separate passes: First, select the minimum requirement across the entire league, regardless of division and deselect these players. Then conduct subsequent passes, utilizing the division or post-season search, followed by entering the requirement variance in the Eligibility Tool. The incremental universe of ineligible players will be available for review.
Final Review: Utilize “Hide Ineligible Players” in conjunction with sorting by the Post Season Group column to provide an overview of your eligible player list by each group.
