Note: If VideoConnect does not work, you can continue playing the match with scorekeeping only.
Try these solutions for the most common VideoConnect issues:
- Chrome isn’t recognizing the camera or microphone
This may be due to “permission settings”. For guidance in changing chrome’s settings to allow VideoConnect to use your camera and microphone, please see this helpful article from How To Geek – Click Here
Tip: Use the gear icon to change which camera or device you are using.
- VideoConnect appears connected, but I do not have video or audio
First, both players should use the toolbar refresh icon to restart VideoConnect. If that does not work, refresh the entire web browser (don’t worry, if using split screen, the scoreboard will not be affected).
If neither refresh works, tap the red “hangup” icon on the toolbar and use “Test Webcam and Microphone”.
- I am connected to my opponent in the scoring app, but my VideoConnect button says “Unavailable”
First, both players should use the toolbar refresh icon to restart VideoConnect. If that does not work, refresh the entire web browser.
If neither refresh works, try toggling the VideoConnect status to “OFF” and then “ON” again.
If still not working, use “Test Webcam and Microphone”.
