Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why are event service fees increasing?
Since launching our tournament management platform, DartConnect has continuously expanded features—introducing digital bracketing, real-time board assignment text alerts, public displays, and online payment integrations—without a base fee increase for years. This adjustment is necessary to directly fund our core development initiatives. It allows us to focus exclusively on major updates, keep up with rising technology infrastructure costs, and deliver the highly requested features outlined in our Event Services Roadmap.
When do these new rates take effect?
The updated pricing will take effect on January 1, 2027. Any event or competition held on or after this date will be billed under the new rate schedule.
What is considered a "Competition" for billing purposes?
Consistent with our current policy, fees are billed “Per Competition.” A single competition refers to an individual bracket or event within your tournament (for example: Men’s Singles 501, Women’s Cricket Doubles, or a specific Team Cup event).
How does the new “Per Competition” pricing break down by service tier?
-
Basic Tier: Remaining at $1.00 / Player
-
Advanced Tier: Increasing from $1.00 to $1.50 / Player
-
Tours Tier: Standardized at $2.00 / Player
What is an "Advanced" event?
An “Advanced” event is any that is considered a “Major,” “Professional” or “Ranking” event.
What is a "Tour"?
A tour is a series of separate events where participants are ranked by their performance and results across the entire series.
DartConnect provides the following special features for tour operators:
- Player Library Database – a master list of players that is automatically assigned to all tour events.
- Tour Leaderboard – a version of DartConnect TV’s event leaderboard that combines statistics from all completed tour events.
- Custom Ranking Table (Coming Soon) – A ranking table that can be custom configured to track tour ranking points and orders of merit.
How will Team and "League Cup" competitions be charged?
We have adjusted our structure to scale with team sizes:
-
Teams of 4 or fewer players: Will be billed at $1.50 / Player per competition.
-
Teams of 5 or more players: Will move from a flat $10.00 rate to $12.00 / Team per competition
Note: Leagues using DartConnect League Service may have one “Cup Competition” for no charge. Additional competitions are subject to discounted fees. Click here for more information.
